Founded in 1891, Thebes African Methodist Episcopal Church has long been a pillar in the community. Nestled in the former McIntosh community at the corner of Walthour Road and Lewis Fraser Road, Thebes is a loving church that knocks on the doors of heaven every day. The church aspires to reach those who are broken-hearted by offering the love of Jesus Christ. As an active church that supports Liberty County, Thebes embraces every opportunity to share a positive word with God's people.
